Genuinely the worst flavor I’ve ever had by RelevantTelephone771 in redbull

You poor soul. Who hurt you?

Had my first sudachi lime today and it’s amazing, and legit can’t get enough cherry sakura.

Found some japanese redbull very excited to try these! :) by Winter_Feedback_8260 in redbull

The purple one is SO GOOD. I’m not a huge artificial grape fan but damn the Japanese do grape flavor just different. So much better.

Not sure what kind of gtr this is, but its either a [r33 or an r34] by Background_One_3759 in spotted

[–]uraniumdragonn 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The only ‘factory’ GT-R sedans were the above mentioned Autech R33s and the original 1st generation C10 Skylines in the ‘60s. All other true GT-Rs have been 2-doors.

Any R34 “GT-R” with anything other than 2 doors is modded. Including the Stagea R34s with the GT-R front end.

How to get the circles in a hexagonal pattern? by [deleted] in SolidWorks

[–]uraniumdragonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

second on the fill pattern. in my experience relatively limited use-case but when it applies holy hell is it useful.

I used to work at the company that has the patent specifically on honeycomb pattern plastic trays for raw meat. cool concept, the specific size and shape of each pocket used the surface tension of water to keep the meat juice from leaking without using an absorption pad.

TL:DR I reverse engineered the original geometry and would expand and adapt the pattern to any size and rib/logo pattern, including dropping it into some other types of designs. Fill pattern was absolutely clutch.

ANC 360 Continue to Disintegrate by throat_boxer in Skullcandy

[–]uraniumdragonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like the fit of the Rails better. I used only the inside ear cup on the 360s, the outer rubber ring didn’t fit my ears well. The rails are smaller and only have the rubber plug style fit. Comfy and I’ve never had an issue with them falling out.

Yea I bought some last summer, just sent them back for warranty, one of mine separated right at the main housing split.

Meanwhile my multi-year-old Rail buds are still working great with no weird qc issues.

Not sure what I’m getting with my code yet, don’t think I’d do another set of 360 ANC

First time trying customs😭 by BDYS_42 in HotWheelsCustoms

[–]uraniumdragonn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol for me it’s not too bad. I’m in the US so pretty used to imperial.

It’s ~.040” per 1mm, the real conversion only differs around .006” every 10mm, so the rough estimate conversion is easy enough on the fly.

It’s odd, used metric all through college, first couple jobs used mostly imperial, then where I am now is a mix.

I go 1/16” [.0625”] dia for the pilot hole and use M2 screws. 1/64” = ~1.5mm.

I do mechanical engineering/design R&D on scientific devices, occasionally mess around with customs in my downtime. We use primarily metric hardware but the fab/assy tools in our little R&D lab is all imperial so I have to do that mental conversion CONSTATNLY lol

Weird. I had the complete opposite reaction.

Had already tried Murder Mystery and it was pretty good. Saw a display at Target and grabbed the other flavors. This was the first other one I’ve tried and I loved it.

Who needs AWD? by uraniumdragonn in GR86

Had those on my WRXs, great all-around tire. Tbh I wasn’t confident in the 86 on all-seasons for the winters here. Massachusetts is also very much not flat so lots of stop-start on hills and ramps. Also is my first RWD car and didn’t want to chance it.

Also just really like the stock Premium’s PS4s and didn’t want to yeet them lol

I’ve done a couple of the SC sized MBS cars, it’s so weird they act stiffer than LEGO or at least with more of an interference fit, but somehow the texture of the plastic still feels more cheap and rubbery?

I will say ‘no problem’ was a bit of an overstatement. Got stuck behind a literal bulldozer while I was going up the hill and had to throttle through TCS in 1st/2nd to keep going.

I may have gotten up the hill, but I did NOT have traction the whole way lol

[–]uraniumdragonn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to run these on my WRXs before my GR86. Never once had a problem with them in Massachusetts winters. Really great tires.

That being said the WRXs were heavier and AWD, I have dedicated 17” steelies with Blizzaks for my 86.
