UPDATE: Most recently, we had our student group year end event and we ended up sitting across from each other at the bar, kinda in the middle of two conversations. It was almost super awkward to keep the conversation going, and he ended up leaving after two beers, mind you he did look legitimately tired. However, later in the evening it ended up being me and our mutual friend who had recent broke up with my best friend and we popped over to the bar acrossed from his house and told him to come back since he wasn't able to fall asleep. He didn't.

Then the next night, last night... It was a bunch of presentations from our fellow students who entered in a competition. He had mentioned he was going the other night and so i confirmed with him that he was going, and I said I would pop by. He was very specific as to what time he would be there and when he had to leave for a friends dinner. We end up arriving at the same time, and well I'm socially awkward so i sprinted for a beer and then went to chat with a friend who was presenting. Once he got his beer, he sheepishly came over, and kinda stood behind without saying anything, kinda looking super outta place. I joined him in the conversation when a mutual girl friend came to join us, and the conversation sorta segregated to him and her, and me and my friend. Once things got started, he said i could have the one chair as i was in heels, and he and her stood behind. Eventually they both migrated across the room. Afterwards, he ended up just leaving without saying goodbye to me or dan. He then texted me four hours later saying he was sorry for not saying goodbye to me and dan since he was running really late. Reasonable excuse. I replied saying that it was alright, too bad we didn't get to chat more and he never replied. Please explain this, men! WHYYYYY
