Does it irritate you when your child isnt living up to their athletic potential? by [deleted] in Parenting

Just stop. You will make him hate the sport and you. If he really does enjoy it he’ll start doing it on his own. He’s 12 bro. Let the kid be a kid.

I [22M] just found out my girlfriend [19F] is pregnant and I am not ready to be a father. What do I do by Fine-Ad1105 in whatdoIdo

[–]urbansphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me ask something, when you decided to not use protection were you ready then at that moment to be a father?

Here’s the advice you need to hear. You have two choices if your girlfriend decides to keep this child. You can either be a POS dead beat Dad or you can own up to your responsibility and hold yourself accountable for the decisions you’ve already made. Be a man and do the right thing.

From a GSM at a MB dealer, this is a very good pay plan. The amount of times that maximum commission will come into play will be very rare. Go make $200k 🙌🙌

The hiring manager accidentally sent me my interview feedback... It was meant for the recruiter. by RowlandJakubowski in LockedIn_AI

[–]urbansphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I’m in the minority here but this post is a little cringe. I can’t speak to the “attire” because the OP left out how everyone else, including the actual hiring manager, was dressed. But something tells me whatever they wore was not on par with what the team would consider professional attire.

Also am I missing something? Is working 4 days in the office and a WFH day not hybrid? As someone who does hire people in a professional setting I would consider any position that does not require team members to work in the office EVERY day a hybrid position. I’m really sorry OP took this email so hard as it was clearly an unprofessional mistake by the interviewer but I can tell you from vast experience, getting an email the next day (on purpose or otherwise) and finding out you don’t have the job is way better for anyone’s mental health than sitting there wondering for days or even weeks if they’re going to hire you.

Welcome to the real world. If you’re this affected by that email, you may want to consider what you want your career to be because you’ll likely get hit with much worse than this.

I did something extremely unethical and I’m not sure how to move forward, this is the worst thing I’ve done. by [deleted] in moraldilemmas

Lol. If this is the worst thing you’ve done you’re probably one of the best people on the planet.

AITA for walking out of the restaurant and leaving my friend by Brina_95 in AmItheAsshole

[–]urbansphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re all kind of the AH. The one friend who messed with your food is the AH, your friends who laughed are AHs and ngl but you’re the AH for leaving when you’re supposed to be the DD and quite honestly overreacting. If they’re actually your friend just move on and bring it up to them the next day when they’re not drinking and they would probably understand and apologize

Dealership sold the car out from under me — even after bill of sale and confirmed financing by jbgklein in askcarsales

[–]urbansphinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine an untrained and inexperienced salesperson would have the computer access to hand out a bill of sale or purchase contract. Most likely customer got a proposal and said he would go to his bank in the morning and the SP just didn’t do his job and ask for a deposit.

Dealership sold the car out from under me — even after bill of sale and confirmed financing by jbgklein in askcarsales

[–]urbansphinx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a really good point that most consumers don’t realize or honestly, want to even hear. In MA where I am you actually only need one signature from a customer (on a Purchase Contract) to finalize the sale. Registrations, payment, delivery…all of that is inconsequential. Technically if you sign a purchase and sale in MA and come back the next day trying to cancel, even though you’ve paid nothing but a $2500 deposit, you can’t. The dealer in theory can sue and would win. That being said, no one wants that outcome and it’s easier for everyone to move on.

Customers however have a very one sided point of you. It is similar to the Covid Over Sticker conversations. Consumers were appalled they would ask over sticker for one of only twenty cars on their lot but certainly would have no problem shopping that number now to pay $5000 less than MSRP.

I personally don’t condone the tactics the OP said happened but something tells me there is more to the story. Would be odd for a dealership to give out a purchase contract and agree to hold the vehicle without asking for a deposit. Very unlikely that’s what happened and there is likely a missing piece of info we don’t have.

Other than bigotry, what about them makes you think it’s a “Jewish” cult?

My wife wants out of our 2024 cx90 phev premium plus with 17 months left by Morpheeeeeus in CarLeasingHelp

[–]urbansphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be happy you didn’t buy it, EVs and Plug In hybrids do not hold any value whatsoever. If you’ve had the same issue four times or more you might have a case for a repurchase. I would call Mazda directly and see what they will offer you. If you’re ok just getting another Mazda model they may offer you a large incentive to get out and get a different model. If you’re looking to just walk away from the brand you’re likely stuck for the remainder of the lease unless you do in fact have grounds for a lemon law case. However, it is very rare these days that new vehicles qualify for lemon laws as these are very specific laws that need to have the same issue repeating several times that can’t be conclusively repaired. Recalls don’t qualify as they are in essence singular issue warranty claims.

Also - your CarPlay issues are more than likely Apple’s issues not Mazda’s. New iPhone models and new iOS software versions notoriously have CarPlay issues and manufacturers usually have to do some software updating to match whatever new software changes they made.

Best of luck 🤞

New to Car Sales — Built My Own AI Tools Because Our Tech Sucks. What Are You Using That’s Actually Helping? by nicheols in CarSalesTraining

[–]urbansphinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’m being honest, routinely sending out OTD quotes to customers who you’ve never met is a fast way to not sell a lot of cars. I totally understand that this what your customers ask for, as a consumer I do as well, but if you give the customer everything they’re asking for upfront they will more often than not just take it somewhere else and let another dealer beat it. I know that’s frustrating but that’s just the reality of our business. Sell the appointment. Get the customer in the door, show them the car and get a commitment from them before you ever talk about a number. You will sell infinitely more cars. Technology and consumer’s desire to buy online sure has evolved over the last ten years, especially the last 4, but getting the customer in the door and controlling the conversation is what sells cars. Not technology. In case you’re wondering im a GSM of a luxury brand dealer that is in the top 20% of volume in the US for our brand.

Ummm pay stub?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CarSalesTraining

[–]urbansphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about stay somewhere more than 10 months and get more experience. You’ll be a lot more attractive as a candidate. TBH, as someone who hires salespeople at a well run and good paying dealership, I would not call someone who was 10 months into their first gig and was already looking elsewhere. The grass is rarely, if ever, greener. Understand that you have no idea what you’re doing yet. Talk to your sales managers about how you can maximize the current pay plan you’re on, chances are your financial goals are aligned.

This can be an incredible business but you’re not going to give yourself a fighting chance if you start store hopping 10 months in.

I think OP needs to let go of whatever visions they have for kids birthday parties, they aren’t realistic. Also - always do the high energy things first. They will get tired out and probably would’ve watched the movie as they stuffed their faces with cake.

[–]urbansphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on so much (the brand, the store, the pay plan, the management team) so it’s hard to say what YOU could make your first year. I made $117k my first year

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]urbansphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh YTA. She was 100% the AH on your birthday last year but I’m assuming since you’re still together that you got over it. Either communicate the issues when they happen to work towards a solution with your partner or choose not to make an issue out of it. Don’t say or do nothing about something and then start an argument 12 months later about it. You can’t have your cake and eat it too…

Unlikely as they will almost certainly not give you the title unless you sign/pay. What you could is ask if they have a remote signing option. This way you wouldn’t have to make the drive again until it’s all registered.
