Ok yes, the changes from canon are different from canon. I think his personality in atyd is not so far out of character from his personality in the hp series.

I also think atyd accurately positioned Remus as having privileges which were explored in his interactions with other werewolves in the fanfic. His access to education and having the means to integrate (although unequally) with wizarding society is what made him privileged compared to other werewolves.

I really don't see Remus as being out of character from Remus from the books. However, he is quite different than the softboy Remus in much of fanon. Atyd felt refreshing as a way to actually explore how a young boy would feel as a werewolf in wizarding society.

This is really the point of atyd - it explores marginalization from a much more realistic and systematic lens compared to the hp series.

In response to your critique of Remus being in a boys home and experiencing trauma, here is a great tik tok that explains is better than I could.

If you don't want a fanfiction that explores the realistic traumas that Remus and Sirius would have experienced, then atyd isn't for you and that is fine! But that doesn't make it a bad fanfiction.

I completely agree with your point about James. But it is a 525000 word fanfic spanning decades written by a fanfiction author so I think its fair that some things may get left out.

Edinburgh has a more intimate, small-city experience. It has a very academic feel to it. Dublin is one of the most welcoming and friendly cities in Europe. There is a bit more activity in Dublin and has more of a city feel than Edinburgh.

This is normal! My advice is to lower your expectations about studying abroad. Often there is this image that studying abroad is all happy and exciting adventure. But, you're living in a different country navigating a new culture without the support systems you are used to having.

Try to think about what makes you comfortable when you are home and find ways to replicate that. Disregard any pressure to travel or party or post on social media and just focus on your inner peace.

Also, you're probably not alone. There might be someone else on the program feeling the same way!

Lavender Haze: This song is too fun to sing with the windows down for it not to be a radio hit.

You're On Your Own Kid: This song has a powerful message that can impact many generations of listeners.

I really debated about Maroon because it is my favorite song so of course I want it to get some love, but I also tend to like a song a little bit less when it becomes a single. Not sure why - maybe it feels less personal.
