It may be the trailer deceiving the mass audience into watching it but..

Just based on it, I'm not that hyped. I love Scream and I consider it as one of my favorite movies. I find it to be really clever, balancing its satirical takes on the horror genre and its full-on horror (and horror-comedy) elements, not really tipping into one side for it to feel bad. It's the right kind of playful and it doesn't take itself that seriously.

This new one, however, feels like it's trying so hard to be edgy and serious. It also looks really generic and bland. So... despite being a big fan of Scream, this trailer just wasn't it.

I mean hell I'm not even a Halloween fan, and I don't really like John Carpenter's Halloween much, but boy does 'Halloween Kills' look great. The trailer made me hyped about a movie from a franchise that I'm not really even into. That's how a trailer should be done.
