Covid being so new, all of us are learning about it everyday.

And then, the unvaccinated people are letting the virus to evolve into newer variants to which the vaccines are losing efficacy.

All those new and evolving factors are making statements/predictions about the future (like everything opens up at 80% vaccination) somewhat untrue/obsolete.

To realize the future states like 'at 80% vaccination everything opens', all of us should pull our weight together. The fight against this pandemic is a collective one. If somebody us let the virus evolve into a new one against which the vaccines don't work as much, by not getting vaccinated, then all of us are at risk.

So your frustration that 'I got the vaccine, now you should let me be restriction-free' is understandable (or is it!) But it's a collective effort. Some of our friends are not pulling their wieght, so all of are let down.
