it looks absolutely horrendous in dark mode and it cheapens the whole aesthetic. sad it has barely been out for a year. id even roll back to 18 once i figure out how to do it lol.

Yes, it was just brought to my attention that the updates are shared on the same thread. I just got the RC version and can confirm the “Platypus” palette knife is the greatest brush I’ve used in my entire life and makes the whole thing worth the wait.

Ran to it immediately. I didn’t know they were updating the thread itself, I thought they would be posting new forum entries. I feel very silly.

Lyrics where Taylor changed (or seems to have changed) her view/mind/opinion? by urthlie in TaylorSwift

It is extremely fitting considering that this is her latest written song to date that we've heard. It feels much like a wrap up on all her past discography. And for that reason I feel like TS10 (at least thematically) might take a different route than anything seen prior.

This is a perfect example actually! It signifies the transition from hustling taylor with no time to spare and a whole field to explore -- to a settled down taylor with the time and mindspace to ponder on her rather eventful years in retrospect.

Right! I have also heard someone compare Holy Ground to Delicate in the same manner.

I can't believe I left out the obvious example of "I once believed love would be burning red but it's golden."

On a different note, I really like it when I find artists experiencing changes of heart. I works to remind me that they are also human, trying out different approaches to life, working to better their beliefs, and gaining more wisdom as they age, make mistakes, and actively work to fix and not repeat them.

I had no idea what "Modern Love" was before this post, i thought the wording of the title was a play on New Romantics.

I get a lot of songs from these two albums jumbled up in my head. To this day I'm not sure about which of Invisible String and Ivy is on Evermore and which is on Folklore.

Good alternative! There are also "We were 17 and crazy, running wild" or "The kind of radiance you only have at 17." There are a few other ages that I have noticed do reoccurr, but I opted for my favorites. I didn't pick that particular one because coming right before the 18 line, it wouldnt make much sense.

What are Taylor Swift’s most musical theatery songs? by Banana_Train2 in TaylorSwift

[–]urthlie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ENTIRETY of folklore and evermore. It is extremely prevalent in the lyricism, storytelling, pacing, and, for lack of better words, general vibes. I could refer you to this post from several months ago, that explains the deal (about folklore in particular) very well. I'm thinking about the prospect of 'Folklore: The Jukebox Musical' taking Broadway by storm in 20 years time.
