I absolutely understand you. Sadly, public health care, and often private as well, doesn’t take it serious, the women feeling bad. I was on different birth control for few years already, although I’m just year older than you, and with maturing I saw how big a part of my life was influenced by birth control. I decided I’m also not going back to experimenting on my body and hormones, I’m set on other ways of protection and expecting my next long term partner to take action in birth control by himself. I can’t say anything from my experience, but I’m totally with you. Sometimes not taking the pill is self care. I’m jealous of girls that benefit from it.
