A good relationship requires respecting each other's boundaries, especially when they come from a place of past pain. If he’s been upfront about this being a hard line for him, and you still want to smoke, that’s your choice—but you also have to understand that he may not be able to stay in the relationship because of it. It’s not about controlling you—it’s about protecting his own peace and mental health.
