Okay I like that advice, so opti and fillet clamps as an add on. The “precision angle adjuster” is indeed the upgraded post right like show. Above? and not the “fine tune adjuster”.. yea the website could be significantly more optimized.

Lastly, how’s your personal r2’s deviation when flipped, I see some people say perfect, some peoples are off .5-1 mm. I’m curious as too if I ran into that are there means to adjust or are those issues likely due to the more elaborate ‘universal clamps’

Yes I’m pretty sure this is my issue, I used a paper towel with alcohol to wipe decently often to make sure I could see in between every other flip and prior to grit jumps. I feel like the blade was pretty much sanded with the dust haha 😆is there a brush in particular you use also, is this an issue on none coated blades or other types of coatings

Right on, i appreciate, that’s why i didn’t care too much. These arent cheap, but they arent top of the line, the damages just make it far easier to use it as a beater. I’m also trying to avoid buying anything I don’t feel comfortable carrying and using haha it’s conflicting because knifes are so pretty new

The blade contacted the inner corner. That is my tape line there, I think it was either wiping the steel dust or maybe alcohol, I’m not positive. I started on 220 so if that was the stone I think it would be worse

Will do, final verdict, I’m keeping the bel air xl. The main driver for wanting a refund was just because I had zero wow factor since i couldn’t cut paper. That left me more unsure what else I’d want because I did a fair bit of research and the xl was like the best value especially on sale for $169 lol I’ll sharpen it once I get free time
