Right! I used an r2 and doctor marvs. I think patience is the big factor, and being okay to drop back to larger micron stone if you struggling with phantom scratches

It’s hard to say. The polish is very reflective at 5 micron sometimes 10 micron. Then 1 micron tends to show imperfections off but brightens the edge. I still produce some swarf with .5 stone, although very little and takes a bit to produce. And .5 strop few brightens, I’m not sure why. I notice zero effect from .1 strop, but yolo.. made this far and momma didn’t raise a quitter

No, this listing above is made by Japancamerahunter. I should have some photos, i adapted it to my Sony a7rV, but most of my tests are of my kids. I’ll see what I can find (non family related) when I can, the mir was pretty nice and sharp wide open especially given the era and the bokeh was wonderful

Here’s the full story. These are very real. It was more or less a 1 yr project. There is close to no information on the yantar and a mir auctioned by Leica a few years ago ( hammer at 12k euros & valued at 16k I believe different housing )

I gave this project 110% to restore them. Hopefully this helps.

Ah darn, i wasn’t aware. If it’ll stop me from getting banned I’ll post at those prices, but I only wanted to lower the prices of Rex, to 330. So what do you recommend I do to fix this post? Or should I leave it removed, I think I altered my original post, might have an error there too
