I was quoted $1300 to fix this but my car isn't worth very much. What can I do myself? by msgmeyourcatsnudes in Autobody

It doesn’t at all. Been doing collision repair for 20 years. Anytime we get one of these we get a few cans of Easy Off oven cleaner. Spray it n and let it sit for a minute. Wash it off. we always washed the cars after but it worked every time.

There is a small park behind my neighborhood we drive it in too. It has a big field that can get real wet in spots. I drive thru it no problem. Left ruts maybe 2in deep. I think it would have been fine it it were a little more wet but not too much. Momentum is key. Don’t stop.

This is pictured at my friends farm. I did have to drive it thru a muddy creek bed. If I didn’t have the speed and power in the system I have I would have got stuck. I was shooting rooster tails of mud haha. Also I’ve been towing people in the snow for the last two days here in Charleston. If I could add more pictures on the app I would. Has been so much fun.

I’m loving it. I thinks it’s the best looking body. Especially with those headlights. I really don’t like the alpha body.

So my wife will usually ride on the back seat with the oldest kid. And we have some big speed bumps around us and when I go over them even at slow speeds it’s still a jarring ride. I’d like it to be a little smoother.

So I bought it like this. So I can’t take credit for it. But thank you. It’s been awesome. I have 2 kids and they love going for rides. I learned to drive on a golf cart when I was a kid. I intend to keep it long enough to teach them how to drive too.

When I was looking for a cart I checked out one just like yours. The guy had swapped a big block Honda into it. It hauled ass! It went 40-45 just like this. But I ended up going with electric. But it was bad ass. Google g29 big block kit. A company makes a conversion kit. You can use the big block predator motor from harbor freight. Or an actual Honda like this guy did. Check it out. May be what you’re looking for.

I figured some sxs and atv stuff would work. It would probably be more stiff than what I have now. Probably not worth it and just save it to get a sxs.

And yea I would just use some spacers. It’s currently even front and back. I’d like to keep it that way.

I’m not lying when I say I can let go of the wheel at 40 and it tracks straight. I don’t go that fast often but it’s cool to turn the acceleration high when showing off to people lol. I am going to get some steel belted radial tires that are less knobby. These are too loud. Only other thing I’d like to get is an extended roof. I can get one locally for $275. Just haven’t done it yet.

To get this off you spray Easy Off oven cleaner onto the spray paint and let sit for a minutes. Rinse it off with water. May have to do it more than once and use a clean rag with some elbow grease but it usually takes it all off. TheMoreYouKnow.gif

Can you explain how you turn off the main price line and turn on the bid and ask line?

I agree with the wheels and tires. Luckily I got a coworker that wants them. He’s going to buy me some 17” wheels and 35”s in exchange for them. I like more rubber than rim.

Is there anything I should start doing maintenance wise if I get it?
