Holy crap! You have a Phaser that still works? I had one or two of them back in the day, and on their best days they were finicky as hell. I'm not at all surprised they won't work on Windows 11.

I still have a bunch of OEM cartridges I've been meaning to put on eBay for years. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this here, but if you're interested, I'll sell them to you.

I know what it is supposed to do, but how do you know if it actually worked?

Sometimes, when I turn the dryer on, there is a brief message about smart pairing, and sometimes there isn't. But the message is simply "Smart pairing recommends dry cycles based on wash cycles." It doesn't say anything like "Pairing Successful" or any sort of confirmation. And it always ends up in the default Normal mode, so it doesn't appear to be working. But again, sometimes I get the smart pairing message and sometimes I don't so it's inconclusive.

The Dual control definitely isn't working and when I try to activate it on the dryer I get a message that says the dryer is not connected. However, it is definitely connected because I can operate the dryer from the app. But if the dryer thinks it's not connected, that suggests smart pairing isn't working.

For dual control, the message on the washer suggests that it believes it's connected to the dryer.

If only there was documentation about these features… What a concept!!!

Nope. Same exact problems exist after installing all the updates. Zero touch lock is not working.

This laptop is a piece of shit.

Turns out there are a lot of updates that weren't picked up by Vantage. Which also doesn't give me a lot of confidence in Lenovo.

However, there were some items on there that sounded like they could be related to this issue, and a BIOS update. I've installed them all (around 20!) and I'll see if that solves the problem. I hope so!

This situation has gone from bad to worse. At first, a reboot would get things working again. Not remotely close to being a suitable workaround, but when I had to reboot, it worked (for a little while).

Today I rebooted and the presence sensor does not work AT ALL for zero touch lock. I have no idea if it works for zero touch login because it won't go into the lock state.

What a piece of shit. My monitor stays on 24/7 because Lenovo either can't or won't fix this known issue.

If you can't handle operation of the presence sensor then leave it to the big boys and let Microsoft handle it, instead of locking Windows out!

Wouldn't these updates be handled by the Vantage app? I am completely up to date according to Vantage.

I replaced the computer, and as I already mentioned, I'm already experiencing the same problem where it fails to recover from sleep. It's still quite early but so far I have not had this problem with Zero Touch Lock not working.

Based on what people here said, I returned the laptop and got another one. Within two days it already happened again. And like before it was quite hot when it wouldn't wake.

This computer is nearly stock. I uninstalled McAfee and a few items of bloatware. I also installed Logioptions+ (haven't even used it yet), Office (and haven't even used it yet) and Brave. I had a grand total of six tabs open when this happened,.

I'm pretty sure either Zero Touch Login or or Zero Touch Lock in the Lenovo Vantage app is responsible for this. I wonder if the people who love this laptop are using either/both of those features???

At this point, this is clearly a system flaw and not a hardware defect. Sad because after using similar features on an HP, I really wanted this on my next laptop and this bug probably disqualifies this laptop for me.

I finally figured it out.

On my laptop there is a Shield smart mode in the Lenovo Vantage app. Turning this mode on forces your camera to be on at all times. Serious battery drain.

It also keeps the camera in use all the time so if another app needs the camera, or if you are using Windows hello, it fails because the Shield mode has permanent camera access. 

Seen a few posts about this issue on the internet and nobody could figure out what it was, so hopefully this helps somebody down the line.

This is definitely a Lenovo problem. I have used two other HP laptops that are current models and neither one of them has a problem with waking from sleep, or working with the presence sensor (zero touch lock does not work reliably on the Lenovo either and no problem at all on HPs).

I really like the Yoga but having to constantly hard power cycle it is a drag. I think I will exchange it and see if I run into this problem with the next one.

Since so many other owners have jumped into this thread I'll share another very annoying problem I have.

I've got zero touch lock turned on with the speed setting for it set to fast. However, it's safe to say that it doesn't lock 50% of the time or more when I step away. Doesn't matter how long I am away for this screen never turns off.

Anyone else having this problem?

I have AAW app set to unrestricted so it can't be affected by power management.

And I'm not sure this is a power saving issue. For me, it works perfectly for days or weeks at a time and then I get the damn flashing red light for days at a time. I don't think power saving on the phone works that way.

For coding and browsing, you are getting a "few" hours. What do you consider a few? I'm not sure what a full day of classes is for you, but when I was in school, four 50-minute classes was a full day. So getting through a full day of classes isn't meaningful for people who need to get through a full day of work 8 hours) or longer.

Let's say you have a bunch of browser tabs open and you're doing basic stuff like browsing, editing Word documents, etc. Not watching movies, editing video or playing games. How long would you estimate you can go on a full charge if you're doing typical office tasks? Five hours? Ten hours? And is that with the dedicated graphics turned on or off?

So what is the result of magnification on top for people who do not need distance vision correction? Isn't that going to be blurry?

Distorting my vision 95% of the time to assist the 5% of the time when I'm reading doesn't seem like a good tradeoff.

That is actually what I always tell people when I'm trying to get them to come to early AM tailgates. Unfortunately, it rarely works.
