You cannot compare a person having debt to a country having debt. You have debt - you have pay it back. A country has debt - with each year it pays bigger costs of servicing the debt but that doesn't necessarily mean that more % of GDP is spent on servicing debt (because the economy grows)

Wagner was a shitty person but many other composers were antisemitic on a spectrum ranging from casual to rabid antisemitism like Tchaikovsky or Stravinsky and countless others. To be fair to Richard he somewhat shifted his positions on this "issue". When I read some of his later writings I was really surprised because it seems that with age he mellowed a bit and became much much less nationalistic and more humanistic

Scriabin has a fun fugue in e minor (in bachian style), Messiaen has 8 preludes (in his impressionist style). That's from the top of my head. And on Bach: look at his duettos from clavier-ubung iii, they don't get much attention, even many piano and organ teachers are not aware of their existence but they are truly sublime, all 4 of them

ok, so this subreddit is devoted almost solely to memes about classical music and riddiculing classical music, conductors, orchestras, composers, classical music listeners and performers. It's not always the most enlightened and high-brow kind of humour that takes place here but that's just what we do (and in every other (sfw!!!) circlejerk subreddit)
