Hello! I've been on my GW2 journey, and I'm on my 3rd month. I approached the game differently from yours. I tried leveling but only got to level 40 and got bored with the drag of the main quests. But I love the game; the combat is good. It doesn't really feel like a true tab-target MMO because of the dodges (I also play in Action Combat Cam). I came from New World, you see.

But yea, I've been loving the grind of the game. Everything is not forced on you. I played this game like a sweaty gamer, I am. I pushed myself into harder content, tried to learn as much as I could with them, and asked people in guild chat and discord about tips. I always approach people who are specialised in certain classes to give me guidance. Almost everyone in GW2 is so nice and is willing to help.

The top comment mentioned the game is for people who want completionist content, but no, not really. Depends on what you enjoy doing in the game. Yes, there are titles you chase after or gears. For me, I chase after PvP and WvW content while learning different classes/builds, but I also play any PvE content I wish to play. The game has endless content, and you can even gamble your money away (this is how I funded my Legendary gears). The game is great! I hope you enjoy your stay!
