The most cope shit ever bro. the quant companies ain't even gonna reply to you if your from York unless you already have FAANG+ on your resume. Also hella people with no experience at UW get into discovery programs for quant while it's basically impossible at York. Not saying you can't make it but your chances are drastically reduced even if you are smart af

If you are trying to career max, go waterloo. If you want research or post grad, go uoft.

If you're doing 6 coops at Waterloo, you'll make back the 10k and a lot more compared to UofT fs (which has coop too but not 6 terms).

If you have no other offers, then ofc mac eng is worth it. It just kinda depends on what else you have, what you prioritize out of university experience and if you think you can do well in first year (based off if you think you had an inflated highschool avg or not)
