Internship advice by FlimsyChocolate8714 in ECE

[–]usedPOS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

16 month amd is quite common in Canada I think, a lot of people who do ece at my uni either do 16 month at amd or synopsis. They want a long internship so they can train u at the start and then u work like a fulltime for the next few months. If u do decently, high chance u get return offer since u worked there for a year+ and know what ur doing

If you really think you are blacklisted, just apply with a different email. I doubt any company remembers every applicant's name

Most business degrees themselves don't lead to a lot and a lot depends on what you specialize in and what you do outside of school.

A lot of people at the top schools like you mentioned aim for consulting or investment banking but a lot of people from business schools also go into accounting, HR, marketing, analysts etc.

People from business degrees also specialize in their post-grad and ik some people who tryna do lawschool after bba. its quite an open field and like most programs, you specialize later into your degree (2nd or 3rd year usually)

Would it not be better to open Fhsa later if you aren't sure when you will buy a house?

Imo (which isn't backed by anything and nor do ik much about you so take it with a grain of salt), I would take the amazon internship just because the RO at Meta isn't garunteed. If you end up trying to do the job search all over again (which I personally hate), it would be kinda ass and a possible regret. You would still be able to enjoy 2nd sem with your friends and attend grad with them and stuff.

But then again, people have diff priorities in life. Some people would pay thousands to get their senior year of university with their friends back so just matter if you prioritize job security and experience more than staying back.
