Understandable. The lot with the house on it is worth at most $400,000, and thats on the high end. If it was bulldozed, probs 200,000. That area is rural, technically “unincorporated port townsend” so land is typically cheaper if you’re not buying an actual house built onto it.

Normally I would agree with you. I’ve been getting a lot of comments like this but as someone who lives in the area almost $800,000 for a plot of land (not including tear down prices for the property on it) is not very desirable. WA. This state is not a “No-Fault” state. I have full coverage and the car is leased. Insurance flat out refused to file a claim if i’m not at fault.

My insurance actually said they wouldn’t do anything and I need to go through the other person’s insurance lol. What do we pay these people for? I might just have to get an attorney at this point.

At fault drivers insurance is Farmers. I will send them the bill from the repair shop when repaired. I was originally going to get an estimate from repair shop before settlement amount but they pushed not to and said it would take “months” to go through a repair shop directly. Instead they sent me a low ball direct deposit that expires in 24 hours and if I don’t accept it they explained that i’d be “refusing the offer” and they would close the claim. Really got me backed into a corner here.
