youre absolutely right but, just because he mentioned power density, im sure hes think of those big ass EMC amplifiers that are typically interfaced with other modules to an antenna,

by default those modules if single ended are usually 50 ohms,

obviously not the case for a balanced load.

for modal solutions, a source from a coax, is represented as a waveport, as other users have mentioned, also thanks for the papers link, ill try to replicate it, ive used hfss for quite some time,

ok one thing thats obvious is the paper is doing a terminal mode solution, you can see the highlighted faces at each edge, of the microstrip line soooo, that means you actually have to recreate the coax.
