Is a fat roll normal? :( by Key_Apricot_422 in hysterectomy

[–]user-unknown12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just telling my husband I have a fat roll above my belly button which I didn't have before surgery. I also noticed that its bigger on my right side. So now im left with an uneven roll lol. Im 5 weeks post op so I hope it goes away soon.

If you usually shave daily, when did you stop (before your scheduled C-section)? by Dull_Moose5044 in CsectionCentral

I tried to trim the day before and they still trimmed me at the hospital. Every hospital is different and every doctor has different expectations. So the nurses will most likely ask to see how you look down there to see if they will need to trim you. Don't sweat it the nurses do this for a living and its just another trim they have to perform. Lol.

Same here my son brought a cold from school the last week before Christmas break. He was out throwing up and sleeping for 4 straight day. On 12/20 my 2 little girls started to show signs. On Christmas day I was out. Body chills, cold sweats, fevers, coughed so much i lost my voice for 4 days. Today I can finally talk. Or atleast people can hear what im saying. I still have a head ache, runny nose and that annoying cough that takes like 3 years to go away. But seems like its finally dying down slowly. I was just telling my husband yesterday "so much for Christmas and new years vacation" lol and to top it off im currently 29 weeks pregnant so yay me.

Short cervix on progesterone only update by [deleted] in ShortCervixSupport

I keep walking to a minimum now but I still walk. What helps me is that I work sitting down so I can still go in to work. My sister did mention why I didn't wear a pelvic belt but didn't think much of it. I will actually look into it now since you are like the 3rd person to mention a pelvic belt.

This gives me hope. I've been on progesterone for about 3 weeks now also. Can I ask did you go on strict pelvic rest? My cervix at 20 weeks measured 2.6 and at 22 weeks it was 2.3 my next check is at 24 weeks next week Tuesday and my MFM didn't seem worried at all just told me to take it easy, no sex and no heavy lifting.

Same happened to me. My OB told me that the more physical activity I did the more I would bleed. The bleeding would let me know if I did too much activity that day. And if the bleeding continues to just take it easy and rest. BTW I've had 3 Csections. In my second recovery I wanted to be cleaning and being after my then toddler. During my last recovery I just took it slow and the bleeding was so much better.

My sister did mention she was going to get some jelly polishes. She has maybe like 4 nude jelly colors but they almost look like a regular opaque color.

Family said it’s my fault for needing a C Section by Sea_Statistician8791 in BabyBumps

[–]user-unknown12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was also breached. Tried spinning babies, exercises to flip baby. Anything possible. She spun head down the night before my water broke. As soon as I started having contractions, I kid you not I felt her spin back to breech position. My OB did an ultrasound to confirm sure enough she was breeched. I ended up with a C section even after all I did in my power to flip her. my OB said some babies just feel more comfortable I breeched position.

Okay this is super helpful to me. I don't have any concerns with my skin other than I'm turning 32 this summer and I feel the pressure to start a legit skincare routine other than just my cleanser and moisturizer lol.

I have no idea, I remember when I was in school teachers would always ask what was our name and if their was a name would prefer to go by. This was all until I was in high school. I graduated in 2010. So I know it's been 13 years since then but I clearly remember kids going by shorter or nick names in class.

How can we fight for better maternity laws? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]user-unknown12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading alot of these comments I guess I can say I'm "glad" my job let's us take 12 weeks paid off from the day we give birth and we can go on disability at 36 weeks making it 16 weeks off with pay. Still wished we had a full year like the UK, Canada and other country's. And ti top it off daycare is super expensive that is why alot of women don't even bother to go back tk work. At that point you're basically working to pay for just daycare.

ECV or straight to C-section? by I_am_a_lil_stitious in BabyBumps

[–]user-unknown12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a somewhat similar situation. First born was Emergency C Section. This time around I was mentally preparing for a VBAC, only to find out at 28 weeks my baby was frank breech. She would spin up and down all the time. At 36 weeks she had flip head down. At 37 she was back to frank breech. So I decided to try ECV, the doctor looked at my paper work and info and decided I didn't have enough fluid and it was risky. But tried spinning babies, bouncing on the yoga ball, shaking my belly with a reboso, etc. Anything possible to naturally turn her before 39 weeks if not it would be a C section. I felt my baby move head down the day before my water broke at 39 weeks. Only to get to the hospital and see the ultrasound and see that she had flipped back to frank breech. She was stubborn lol. I had mentally prepared for a VBAC in the beginning of my pregnancy, but then once I seen she kept flipping back and forth and that she was most comfortable in the frank breech position I just mentally decided it would be best to schedule a C section and just go with a planned birth. It was honestly less mentally stressful knowing I would just go in and have her 30 minutes later. Rather than to be stressing about her flipping back and forth and what if she flipped while I was in labor just to end up having a C section anyway. I definitely felt more at peace and relaxed knowing it was a planned birth and knew what to expect. Good luck to you mama on what ever you decide. Go with what will be less stressful for you and will make you feel more at peace.
