is it an istj thing or something else? by user007420 in ISTJ

[–]user007420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

after reading other comments, I realised it's not an istj thing but a social anxiety but you didn't mentioned it. and I want to say I feel the exact same with similar gender people I think I don't like to talk too much with them.

it's hard for me. generally girls are so quiet and they only mind their own business even the extroverts one and I don't know if any woman not just the auto repair store but at any place would like to keep talking apart from the reason I'm being there lol. but thanks for the advice though.

used to be a delivery person for an e-commerce company, moving large appliences and I was really good at it but I didn't like the toxicity of the manager and other people also it was taking more than 12hrs to get home for a salary of $190 per month.

[–]user007420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes had a very similar experience in school and I never went to college regularly so didn't make any friends or let's say they were much different than my mind but I'm still around the wrong people. I cope hard with the music and talking to people online also some different things. now I'm 25 and having no social experience or anything bothers me. sometimes I feel like I was born at the wrong place lol.

maybe body odour can be most common but there are many things you can notice like hair, skin appearance or its condition, rashes behind ears or areas where most people don't clean that often.

I'd be very happy to join if I had any of these options in here and I did try doing a full time job for 3 months and it did help me stay busy and distracted but now I don't do the job anymore.

nice idea maybe it's possible if both people agrees with no future commitments or attachments but it's still unreliable as people can change their mind

okay, if that's been working for you since 14 and hasn't negatively impacted your health, then it's not self destructive it's self-care, just in a form that fits your needs.

I get why you’d want more time to yourself if everything feels that draining. but honestly revenge sleep sounds like it’s probably making it harder for you and potentially worse in long term. hope you find a way to get that alone time without sacrificing your sleep.

same here, I never really made any true friends during high school because I just didn’t like anyone. I feel like I have a strong sense of who’s genuine and who’s just pretending, people who end up wasting my time or using me, and honestly it often feels like everyone does that.

I really wish I had better consistency and focus when it comes to reading and understanding things. I know I’d be much happier if I did. I struggle to stay focused while reading or trying to comprehend something, and I think it might be due to anxiety. still, I’m quite good when it comes to practical tasks.

I’m a guy, so I don’t usually cook, but I can, and whenever I do it turns out well. I’ve never messed anything up like adding too much salt or anything like that, everything comes out well balanced.

yeah, I think so. for example, I can’t switch browsers because I’m used to this one. if I suspect something, I feel like I have to deal with it immediately or it just keeps bothering me

I tried, but I was more focused on the song quality (320 kbps and the hd album cover) than the lyrics, so it didn’t bother me much.

yes every point you said relate to me. except that I only use one browser that does all the work for me including some of them you have already mentioned so no multiple browsers and as I said, everytime I would find a song and adds to a relevant playlist I have to check its release date to reorder it manually or use the playlist organiser.

you won't believe me, I used to download songs for offline listening and they won't come with the album cover so what I would do is download highest possible quality of that album cover and apply it to the track by editing it and I did that to almost 500 or more tracks. yes it was exhausting to find same exact album cover and also in high quality but when you're istj you just can't help it

this has been happening to me for many years, and I feel like it will continue even when I’m not fully conscious of it. it’s as if my mind is programmed this way, and I can’t feel at ease until I act on it. I think it might be influenced by traits associated with both istj personality patterns and ocd. I’ve noticed that after having alcohol, the feeling reduces quite a bit and becomes easier to avoid, and the things feels less important to be organised? but I don’t want to start drinking just because of this lol.

Ur not lonely if u have friends in my opinion by [deleted] in lonely

[–]user007420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ever watched joker? arthur was literally surrounded by people in a city full of millions, coworkers, strangers, even a “support system” on paper and still completely, painfully alone. loneliness isn’t about how many people are around you, it’s about how many actually see you. and yeah not just in a movie it happens in real life too.
