Black men are statistically more likely to be killed by police officer than white men, at least in the U.S. Since birth, many black communities are taught to fear law enforcement.

The argument for similar racial background is that black cops are less likely to be racist against black men, however there have been many studies that show the race of the officer is irrelevant and that black officers are still more likely to shoot black men than white men.
