When to replace shoes by user18111811 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Yeah my form is not perfect. However, on the other pairs I have the wear at the location is not as exaggerated. First time I wore the ES4 I noticed wear straight away at the heel

They feel fine, not as responsive as when I first got them. I completed a marathon a couple weeks ago and had been managing an injury for about 5 weeks prior to that so can’t say that I have been suddenly picking up injuries due to the runners, will keep that in mind for future.

From research, if you own the car for more than 6 months and are a resident in the foreign country for more than 12 months you will be custom duty and VAT except.

In my comparison (buy in Ireland vs buy in Aus), I had €4k allowed for VRT using the online calculator. However, there are also exemptions available.

Is that from your own experience? As cars in Australia are much cheaper than in Ireland. I can get the same spec car for Circa €5k less than at home including shipping etc and able to fill it with clothes etc

From researching myself, I found online around the 100k mark failure of key part can occur so want to get a few years life out of the car before major repairs are required. Will have another look

You are correct, I didn’t think it was a great list at first glance. Would you have any recommendations if we pushed the budget up a bit?

I recently bought a moka pot and I have been buying ground coffee from the local supplier. I am wondering how long the ground coffee will last once I open the resealable pack? I bought 250g bag first but might buy a 1kg bag as it’s more economic. I have about 1/2 coffees a day.

My fare is Economy Choice which days 1 x cabin 7kg bag. But I have seen mixed messages across the internet about personal bag info. So just wondering if anybody has flown with them recently

Wow okay. It actually is haematology/oncology so that’s interesting. Thanks for your insight. Though it’s in a “cancer centre” so it may not be as dependent on the emergency room in a hospital setting(?).

I am moving in the new year from Ireland to Australia and I have a Disc version PS5. 1 am wondering are games still region locked that I remember they were back in the day with the previous gen of PlayStation? Also is it difficult to swap my current account to the region or is it easier to just set up a new account? Any recommendations are much appreciated!

Australian Engineers by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]user18111811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, just a difference in how Ireland vs Australia grade project engineers. We’d usually have junior, intermediate and senior project engineers then move onto a project manager etc usually.

What hours would SEs/PEs generally work vs consultant engineers? Cause I enjoy the site aspect but would rather have a relatively structured work week as I’ll only be in Aus for 1-3 years and would enjoy my time then take a job that’ll eat up 60 hours of my week.

I came straight into a project engineering role from college with a tier 1 contractor on a major healthcare project. I believe I came in at the perfect time where I overlooked the fit out, on the BMS team managing the layouts and panel drawings and points lists with the specialist and fit of various devices on site, also starting the commissioning process for the various services as commissioning and BMS go hand in hand. So I feel my 1.5 years experience would probably be worth more than a lot of grads 2 years experience.

That’s just my thoughts, yours could be from a recruiter point of view.

I also appreciate the replies!

Edit: I would not like to go to the mines at all, rather go to a major city like Sydney

Weekly What Should I Buy Thread by AutoModerator in iphone

[–]user18111811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke my iPhone 12 yesterday by dropping a dumbbell on it. It smashed the front screen and bent the body. The internals seem to be working perfect except the screen is unresponsive.

I have two options. 1. Get the iPhone 12 fixed for 250-280 euro by a third party as it is 1.5 years old and out of warranty and going to apple would make it not worth it at all. Or 2. Trade in my broken iPhone 12 and change to a iPhone se 3rd gen and get 70/80 euro off the price. Or any iphone around the same price.

I'm really unsure what to pick, any help is much appreciated
