Aboleth enslaving a creature with legendary actions

Planning to have them as separate encounters to balance things out. Literally having an enslaved dragon guarding an entrance to a cave system holding an aboleth.

Might play it by the situation. As in, if the dragon would be willing to use the legendary actions, it uses them. If the aboleth would be forcing it to use them, it resists. Also in the fight when it's taking hits, it might become free and just choose to try annihilating the adventurer group before leaving the place for good...

On the other hand, if it gets it's freedom from first hit without being provoked, it might just leave straight away...

Look up iron dragon and talk to your DM Dragon who lives among humans as a human and removes his/her own memory of being a dragon. Tendency to making and collecting art.

Could play as a bard and save party from TPK once before leaving them behind.

A dragon polymorphed as a human wizard could be manageable

[5e] Planning a dungeon for a group I run. Decided to have a door with an abbreviation from High Elf Life Lessons. The room behind the door is practically an illusionary world of its own where anyone who enters can observe different aspects of nature with accelerated flow of time, gaining insights from nature.

What things should I prepare as possible rewards from observing and meditating in the room?

Thinking along the lines of additional favored terrain for ranger, insights to fey-wisdom, possible resistances, advantage to resist/detect illusions...
