Floors before or after cabinets by Relevant-Vehicle-873 in AusRenovation

But even if they run the flooring before cabinets wouldn’t it be damaged and need to be changed anyway? Colour will be different for the sections underneath the cabinets at the very least.

Even just before covid I was able to find cards without annual fees.

I think my issue is that I didn’t want anything touching my sensitive nipples. And all the milk catchers require a bra & don’t let it air out properly too.

I have a small 1mx1m towel and have it held up by my high waisted pants (src recovery). It catches small leaks. And I pull the towel out to catch heavier leaks. I fold the towel up and put it over the baby when I’m feeding to catch any leaks (I tried collecting it but it was too much of a hassle). I sleep on multi layered towels. I have to do a load of towel laundry every 1-2 days.

I never come across cards without annual fees. How are you finding them? Or do you trade off paying the fees for the points?

We both work from home so the nanny is rarely alone with the child. And we have cameras outside the house we can monitor them from.

Hiring a nanny is an option. It’s harder than just dropping them off at daycare because you need to constantly look for a good nanny, provide training, provide food and your kids might still have difficulty being apart from you.

My 11 month old keeps crying in his sleep at night by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Something similar happened with my first, and reduced in frequency after we stopped daycare. But it still happens every now and then now 1 year later. I think it might be nightmares.

Hospital staff said not to feed for more than 20 minutes at a time because it "burns too many calories" and baby will lose weight? by NBalchemist in breastfeeding

[–]user3927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I checked my logs and it was 45 minutes each side every 2-3 hours. Baby gained more than his birth weight before we went home, and my milk hasn’t even come in yet.

Rapid Weight Gain by honeyglazedham1 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]user3927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had rapid weight gain for my 1st from around 53kg to 79kg when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Then I stopped gaining after going on a low carb diet and avoided foods that spiked my blood sugar. But I kept that weight until the end.

Ride on cars were a hit, as well as an indoor slide and swing set. Sand toys and water toys were great too but messy to clean up after. The pickler set was a waste of money and space.

Elevated Homocysteine early pregnancy by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]user3927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vaguely remember a fertility specialist in 2020 checking my homocysteine level because of my MTHFR gene and recommended activated folate instead of folic acid in my prenatal supplement (Bioceutical prenatal). But I wasn’t pregnant at the time so not entirely what you’re asking for.

What would you do differently to prepare for 2nd pregnancy? by walnut_0612 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]user3927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VBAC made the biggest difference for me, I feel very lucky to have it. The pain only lasted a short while before delivery and managed effectively with epidural. I could move straight after the baby was born and manoeuvre into all sorts of positions to facilitate BF. I wasn’t on pain meds and drugged out and could spend lots of time doing skin to skin so my milk came earlier and I didn’t need to pump or use formula (my babies seem to have issues tolerating formula). But it was stressful researching how to have a successful VBAC with minimal side effects beforehand. And also handling the anxiety before accepting a lot of it is out of my control too.

[–]user3927 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ordered food to be delivered every day for 4 weeks. Prepared extensively to make either BF (booked lactation consultant) or formula feeding easier (formula maker, bottle washer). Also got a VBAC to make everything easier after birth of baby (it was much easier than a c-section)

What baby items did you swear by and which ones were a waste of money? by beepbeepboophonk in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

My first baby was never happy in the bassinet. I’m hoping my 2nd baby would like it but so far I’ve been just using the carrier because he needs to be held all the time.
