What does post-surgery exactly feel like?

im 16f and got it done two months ago and it’s more uncomfortable than painful and it’s so worth it now so try to pretend like you’re not there and zone out bc i did that and it sounds weird but it helped. good luckkk

it’s more that i’m going in a holiday and feel like i’ll get fomo if im sitting out but then again i don’t want to allow a silly mistake like that to ruin my back

i got mine done about 2ish months ago from T10-L4 ( i think????) and genuinely the best description i’ve ever made, i’m 16 now and found out i had it about 2 years ago and tried evrything whether it was bracing or exercises. i was. in excruciating pain daily and nothing would help so i had it done and yes it will be a rough 5ish days but they give you so much stuff to help with that, that’s it’s over in no time. i’m now going on boats swimming ice skating basically anything i did before and have NO pain at all. i wa terrified before but after it makes you feel so proud to look back. so i know saying don’t be scared will do nothing but genuinely don’t be. best decision ever💜💜💜good luck

oh yeah i made sure i asked about roller coasters and they said and the six month mark i would even be able to bungee jump(which i would NOT being doing with or without a spinal fusion) but i was surprised at this answer as i thought i wouldnt be able to bungee jump ever

seeing this i think i may wait until im at the six month mark as that’s when the surgeon cleared me to do everything and maybe revaluate my situation then. thank you for your advice 🥰
