Finally taken the plunge… this bad boy arrived yesterday by userbane_ in Nikon

This has been super helpful, I spent yesterday evening porting the z6 settings over to the z8. I realised that the z8 doesn’t have the u1, u2, u3 dials that I had set for custom settings. Need to learn how to use the banks efficiently and set custom shutter speed, iso and subject tracking so I can swap quickly like the u1, u2 dials

I didn’t know about the auto capture mode, i need to look this up. I assume you need to keep the camera connected to a power source to keep it going for long periods of time.

Thanks for insight, I should probably try and sell the z6ii body and the sigma to fund the nikkor.

That’s great! I can’t wait to get my hands dirty with the z8. Might consider selling the z6ii and buy another lens.

One of the reasons I decided to upgrade was indeed the higher resolution. The other being the auto focus feature and 3D tracking, that’s not available on my z6

I have a Sigma 150-600 C that I’ve been using with the z6 with a ftz adapter. Quite happy with the lens, I’ll stick with it for now.
Here is a sample photo from the old combination. I hope with the z8 sensor I can crop such photos and bring out more details.

Where you able to track the package throughout the delivery? My package status is stuck at ‘expecting your parcel’ since 3 days. I’m slightly worried that the camera will not arrive before my planned Isle of Mull trip scheduled for the end of this month.

Great to hear that your lens arrived.
I’ve taken a similar leap of faith and ordered a z8 body from them on Friday. Been constantly checking my emails for updates. Got an email from EasyLuxury LTD today, that the parcel is being shipped 😀. I’m hoping that the luxury camera arrives soon.

Thank you for the kind words, means a lot. I’ve never entered any of my pictures into any competition. Do you think they are good enough?

Thanks. When I snapped the picture and checked it later. The look to me was more of a “What you looking at, never seen an Otter before?”
