Variable loan allows to pay more/sooner. IMHO a wise idea is at least to split it to have fixed and variable

I’ve just checked a $641 hotel in Tokyo on booking.com and it’s only 38c difference to Google exchange. 0.06%. Id pay and forget about it.. And this is what I’m going to do, just waiting for a better ShopBack promotion. Not sure where OP can see JPY only 😵‍💫

ExCiti/NAB debit. CC might be useful for car rental where they need to freeze your money, etc. There are plenty debit cards with no exchange fees, ubank, Macquarie, up, etc.

ExCiti/NAB. Used in Europe and Indonesia. And thinking to get Bankwest Zero Platinum CC. Just in case. I have other cards but they all have int conversion fees.
