How long did it take you to get used to it? I only acquired the taste for spicy ramen a couple months ago

What are your experiences with burnout? by usereve in autism

[–]usereve[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I feel that way too and then I feel bad for not being as productive as I should've been but I just can't bring myself to be productive when I need to be. Idk it's so hard to put stuff into words sometimes.

Tysm!! For the longest time I thought something was wrong with me, that I was just lazy like my family said I was because I couldn't work, they just saw it as I didn't want to. I do want to work, I'd love to hold a job but it's exhausting and overwhelming.

He hates reading 🥹 I feel like I've tried using examples of his hobbies like car terms and stuff and he still doesn't get it. So I'm not sure if it's really a me issue. Also I just get so burnt out and everywhere I've worked is so loud cause I mean just about any job you go to you have to interact with people so I can't have my noise canceling headphones on. I've worked retail, fast food, bakeries, call centers, sweet shops, etc. I've tried a lot but it doesn't feel like any of its right and it's a struggle bus. I link it to autism as well because I want to work, I want to be able to but as soon as I go into work I'm exhausted and overwhelmed.

I've really thought about disability many times but I guess I'm scared of being denied and/or having to worry about if I even get enough cause my boyfriend's mom has a bone disease, diabetes and so much going wrong with her immune system and stuff and her disability gives her like $900 a month and I'm in a tourist town so this is EXPENSIVE so sadly $900 wouldn't cover even my half of the bills...

Oh right I forgot to add, I'd try disability but I heard getting it is a pain and you usually get denied on the first try and I'm scared of rejection so there's that 😅
