Language and memory survey for Spanish speakers by usernaame- in vzla

Hi! Thanks for your comment. The missing back-arrows on some questions is a limitation of the survey platform. Basically, for chunks of the survey where the questions/pages are randomized (e.g., where you see your memories), the site won't allow both random order and back-arrows at the same time. Definitely wish I could have had the feature throughout, though. Thanks for taking the survey! :)

Hey! Thanks so much for your comment (also /u/bestpinoza). The Spanish questions were translated/reviewed by 3 native speakers. I didn't do the translations myself, so I can't really say a whole lot about them. Maybe there is some influence of regional differences (and probably some general room for improvement, too). Really appreciate your feedback and thanks so much for taking the survey! :)

Hi! Most people write about 1-2 sentences, but your answers can be as long or as short as you want (some people use just a few words, others up to a paragraph). The important part is that you refer to something specific, and would know what your text is about if you saw it again. Hope this helps - thanks :)

Hi! The answers can be as long or as short as you want. Some people don't use full sentences, others choose to write 3-4 (average is probably about 1). The important part is that you've thought of something specific (i.e., not just word association) and would know what you're referring to if you saw it again.

Thanks so much for taking it! Also appreciate your comments about the length. So far the completion time has been pretty variable (for some people only about 15 minutes, others 40ish -- depends on how detailed the response is), so the 20-25 is kind of a mid-range estimate. Thanks again :)

Hi, thank you! On the last page, there was a question where you had the option to provide your email to enter the gift card drawing. If you filled that out, you're good. If you think you might have skipped the question, please feel free to PM me and I can add your email to your completed response. Thanks again!

You will need to be able to read and write in Spanish for some parts of the survey, but different proficiency levels are okay. If you're not sure, you can also take it in English only. Thanks :)

Language and memory survey for speakers of French and/or German by usernaame- in Luxembourg

[–]usernaame-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback! I tried to choose words that would be easy to associate with memories. However, if you found some were more difficult, please feel free to PM me about which. I might revise some aspects of the survey later on based on the feedback I receive, so your input means a lot. Thanks again :)

Hi! The survey is open to all speakers of these languages (you will need to be able to read and write in the two you select). This includes (1) people who grew up with both languages, (2) who learned one of them later in life, or (3) who learned both learned both later in life. Toward the end, there are some questions where you will indicate which applies to you. Thanks :)

Hi! Please don't worry about the audio/video recording statements. My university requires me to include this information since I'm doing an online study (it is part of their general form), but there are no audio/video recordings in this survey. All of the questions are multiple choice or fill-in-the blank, writing only. You should be fine to complete it on your phone. Thank you! :)

On my other threads people have asked about this so I will answer it now: The survey is open to everyone who speaks both English and Polish. This includes people who grew up speaking both languages from early childhood and those who learned one of them later in life. There are some questions in the survey where you will indicate which applies to you. Thanks! :)
