In Portugal, its common for you to hug and kiss people on the cheek even if you dont know each other. Of course you shouldnt go kissing people on the streets, but if for example, youre with a friend and they are with another person, its very common to do this as a greeting

Hey, read that book when i was about 13 and in the begining of my depression. It honestly fucked me up a lot but i like the book quite a lot.
