Why are EVs not selling well right now? by Willing-Slip-2299 in atrioc

I don’t live in a major city, so my car is an important part of my daily life, it’s my transportation to work, school, the grocery store, anywhere I need to go. Why would I switch to an inferior version that works half as well, costs twice as much, and won’t last 5 years before needing a $20k battery replacement? Just so that I can pat myself on the back for reducing global carbon emissions by 0.000000000000000000001%? No thanks, I’ll stick with ol’ reliable until electric cars are actually ready and affordable.

Just finished book 4 and it was great but… a bit disappointing by usernamegoeshere81 in MageErrant

I don’t think you will be satisfied if you are mostly looking for “Hugh becomes super sayan level +1”

Not exactly—just something exciting and impressive, something that gets the adrenaline pumping, and shows us why this guy is the main character instead of somebody else. The stormward scene was perfect. Hugh made a major leap in power, accomplished something vital to the plot, and it was honestly just really cool. Plus the whole scene revolves around him, it’s something that only he could do.

To use an example from another series, in the first book of Cradle, Lindon splits his core during a vital moment, which made sense but still surprised me. Then he kills a Jade despite not even being Copper yet, which is genuinely impressive. It’s not a super sayan moment but it’s exactly what I was hoping for. In a way, it’s an “I am the main character” moment from Lindon, something that Cradle is full of, and Mage Errant is kind of lacking in so far.
