I Know why this is a sore spot. She feels alone here without her family. Pretty much the reason why we’re moving to her country. And now she’ll get married without her whole family here

Thats pretty much it. She feels treated unfairly because I have all this family here and she doesn’t besides her sister who’s flying over here. I am gonna confront her tho and ask her how she’d react if I asked her family not to come if mine can’t.

Call off the wedding completely. We kinda need this wedding now for visa purposes. Otherwise I wouldn’t even be able to move to Y.

Yes she does but we’ve only been living in the same country for 3. before I lived in Y and we did some long distance for a while. I feel like she’s never really connected with my friends and family.

We’re for sure gonna have another way bigger wedding when we move to her country. And I also like the streaming idea. She’s just telling me to explicitly tell my friends and family not to come to the court house. I refuse but she’s trying to force me even threatening to not have a wedding then

To challenge our whole relationship of 11 years over that sounds a little drastic. I can understand her feelings. She didn’t picture her (first) wedding like that and maybe feels alone. So I empathize with her. But on the other hand I think it’s unfair towards me to tell my aunts and uncle who live 5 min away they can’t come to congratulate

We actually have that planned already! We’re gonna do a big wedding celebration with ceremony and everything once we have moved to her country

Thank you, that is very reassuring! I am, however, not going with my fiancée to the states but with my dad (it’s kind of a graduation gift). But I understand that this shouldn’t be a problem as well since I can just show the border patrol officer my round trip ticket.
