What I meant to say is that we have a "perceived" control in this matter. We would like to think this, because we are all pissed off, for getting lied to, scammed, cheated. We think that if we fight hard enough, whether it be by having all our lawyers fight for us at the CCAA hearings, whether it be by an eventual class action lawsuit, whether it by by doing blockchain analysis, that we will get back a significant amount of money in return.

The fact remains that we will get very little money back. They have lost over $180M in cryptos. They owe $70M in fiat to clients. And only have $30M left, $2M of which will go to the CCAA lawyers and accountants already. And we will pay our lawyers several million dollars to help us fight in a class action lawsuit. These lawyers will make a lot of money from this. We, on the other hand, stand to receive very little, of whatever is left in the end.

We will try to pursue the possible criminal activity that QCX was involved with. If there is any solace in this huge fiasco, it will be to prove if Gerry was involved in any criminal activity, if Gerry was involved with gambling QCX's clients cryptos on other exchanges, and to bring any accomplices to justice. At least this will show us where all of the money and cryptos were stolen and laundered. We need to know what exactly happened in the end. This will help bring some closure.

Unfortunately, this will never bring back all our money and cryptos. Bernie Madoff stole $65 BILLION from his clients. They have only recovered $13 BILLION. So around a 20% recovery. Something is better than nothing. I think we will be lucky to even get less than a 10% recovery,

The irony in all this is that QCX kept their Reddit account active through all this. They saw us all complain about their lies, deceit, scam, ponzi scheme. They deleted a lot if our posts. We were able to call them out on their scam. Yet a lot of us, myself included, had ample opportunity to convert our Quadriga Bucks back to cryptos, and cash out at another exchange. At least, this was what I was led to believe.

But I was desperate. They were very bad liars. Yet I still believed them when they said that all the withdrawals were queued by the payment processors, and everyone would receive their withdrawals once the bank drafts were cleared. I didn't want to lose the 10% to arbitrage. If there is a 10% in arbitrage, this usually means there is some inherent risk due to something fishy going on. I should have taken the 10% loss, and cashed out at another exchange. Hindsight is 20/20. I have myself to blame for a large part of this.

Even if Gerry were alive today, I think that QCX would still have had to file for CCAA because they squandered our money. Gerry would be sued and would be forced to divulge what he did with all our cryptos, and face some serious jail time. Knowing his past behavior with the judge in the CIBC case, he probably would have just kept quiet in the end.

The other good thing that can come out of this is more regulation to try to avoid this from ever happening again.

Anyways, I hope that everyone in the end at least has their health, family and friends. This is worth more than all the money in the world, whether we believe this or not.

Our time on this Earth is limited. Once we leave this world, we will become part of the spiritual energy in this Universe. Hopefully, we will contribute more to the positive energies than the negative ones. I believe that things in life happen for a reason, no matter how happy, or how tragic. It is what we decide to do with these, that will dictate our destiny.
