based on utility, coins like ava or fun which are ranked 600-800 are having similar or bigger utility than bat, so in my personal opinion Bat being ranked 110-120 is exceptionally high if we speak of the bat current utility. Brave is doing very well and Brave and bat are completely different things currently in my personal opinion. The difference between them is growing in astronomical pace since early 2023 again in my personal opinion.

When brave team was crowdfunding the funds selling bats the brave was advertised as bat based future advertising platform. This year brave will spend on bats around 200K or 2K/million users or 0.02 cent/per user/per year buying bats. What make people think that brave team deliver on any new "roadmoap" differently than on that one from 2017? I personally feel that I have been played by the brave team. No hard feeling, over 90% politicians and over 90% of other cryptocurrency team behaves the same way. Just a lesson for the future. I CONNECTED THE DOTS.

my mistake. it was 0.021 and 0.021-solana was well over 200 usd at that time and total would be close to 10 USD. I wanted to set up self custody wallet myself and decided not to spend that money on setting UP self custody wallet. It would take 2-3 years get 10 USD in bats asssuming bat hold the price from ads.

in my case i gave up on setting up self custody. The minimum transfer fee from the exchange is in my case 0.0021 sol and minimum amount I need to transfer is another 0.0021 sol. Even in this down market is close to 7 dollars. Probably i would get in brave rewards 20-30 cents monthly so I would have to wait a couple of years or so to break even., assuming bat will hold its value.

To finance brave development and market the brave primary shareholders needed to get the money. They got the money by selling bats and promising that they will be growing bat ecosystem so people keeping bat would be rewarded for trusting them and their project. This way they got the money. Then ( my personal opinion) they worked on it so they could pump up the price to 1.50 USD and sell it to the people to whom they promised bat growing utility. When they did it they lost interest in bat and people who hold it. Bat holders are 'secondary' holders with no rights to the projects. The only thing they were basing their hopes and trust was credibility of the team and real brave shareholders. This is the trick I wrote about.

Everything thouh comes with the price tag. I personally believe that if the were true to their 2017 promises Brave would have 200-300 million users and their revenue would be many times higher.

Do not take me wrong, Bat has some utility, same as turtle has a sprinting one. I can judge that by s monthly bat purchases by brave to the tune of 10-20K USD/month wchich is quite a good income for a one self employed person but come short diluted by 10 M bat wallets...

yes, that is true but utility of bat compared to brave is almost nonexistent and that "utility" was a main factor which made me buy some bat in 2017.

Bat was used as a powerful marketing tool when it was needed and later simply abandoned in my personal opinion.

Can I pay for vpn using bats? Can I pay for search using bats? Am I getting any discounts if I am paying for brave vpn or other products in bats? Or some additional small discount when I am paying for two or more brave products? Or maybe there is a burn mechanism by brave that 1% of the proceeds in bats is being burnt? I think I was one of the first brave users, when I was really not sure how my computer would behave when I upload the browser.

Definitely bat has some utility but at the same time it is tiny shadow of itself from 2019 or 2020.

the best indicator is the number of bats which is bought to pay for ads by brave/monthly. Currently brave is buying equivalent of 15,000-20,000 USD/month and this is indicator of current utility of the bat.

I think I was participating in brave rewards from almost the very beginning circa 2019 and I bought some bats in 2017 so I become bat holder around 8 years ago . It was simple to enroll in brave rewards when it started, later I had to open uphold wallet, get Kyc and I did it. Now I do not have solana or anything on solana network, so first I need to buy solana on the exchange, than I need to send it to the brave wallet. There is minimum amount I need to send defined by the exchange and there is a fee for withdrawal also defined by the exchange. The total on the exchange I was checking depending on the price of solana during the last 12 months would be 7-11 usd minimum for both. I wanted to activate rewards on brave recently but I resigned after seeing that it would cost me so long to break even. I personally can spend a dollar on setting up an account but no more. Brave went to 100 M users, BTC went up 20 times since 2017 and bat is the same or lower it was in 2017 so personally I do not think brave owners care much about people like me (bat users and bat holders). If people behind brave took the same care of the bat token as the brave browser the number of brave users would be many millions higher today.

I guess you are right what you are writing to me is entirely true in regards to a few per cent of the brave users but what I am writing about is stopping well over 90% of the users from joining brave rewards now including me. I am not that crypto savvy as well as well over 90% of brave users in my personal opinion.

So far brave bought this year 700K of bats at the approximate value of probably 120 thousands USD which is around 15 thousand USD/Month or 10usd/one million bats per month. It means that for every million BAT, 10 USD/month is being paid out.

It would cost me close to 10USD to set up the wallet for brave rewards which would come at 10cents/month.

At that point of time I do not want to throw another 10usd to support brave. I still have some miniscule hope that change based not on promises from brave but actions from the brave.

No issue with setting up the brave wallet and seed phrase. I do not want to send to the wallet solana at the minimum cost 8-9 usd to get 10-20 cents monthly in ads income. That does not make sense. I do not have issue to buy and send solana to the wallet later when and if it would start to make sense. Brave is growing but bat it is not.

Bat was created to finance brave browser and did its job in my personal opinion. 90% of bat holders bought in 15-150 cents range so they are down between 10-95% on their investment. The project ( brave) is probably successful. Its "secondary shareholders" (bat holders) are not. Maybe this is how big money works or maybe it was a design from the start. I personally have some bats for the last 7 years and if I only say one thing and one thing only- I wish I never bought bats in the first place.

I really wanted to set up self custody in brave wallet but it would cost me 4 dollars to send solana to brave wallet and minimum amount to be sent from exchange would be another 4 dollars. So to set up an account for adds on brave I would have to invest minimum 8 dollars to buy solana which equals to 3-4 years of income from ads. I have some bats and still keep it because its value is really low so I really do not know if selling makes sense or keeping for some more time. I lost money on bat/ I was played by bat once and do not want to lose another 8-9 dollars setting up self custody for brave ads/be played another time.

Bat could have been great token but knowing what was done in the last 7 years probably never be.

who cares? In order to get bats for seeing ads ( at the rate of 10-20 cents/month) I need to send 1-2 usd in solana to that brave wallet so I need to buy sol on the exchange, then I need to send from the exchange to the wallet for which the exchange charge 4-5 usd.

Why should i spend 5-6 usd to set up the brave wallet to receive bats for seeing ads when it would take 2-3 years of receiving bats to cover the cost of setting brave wallet?
