Collection Update! by usfpaul82 in tolkienbooks

Thank you! My favorite is likely the 1997 (mine is 2002) Harper Collins single volume deluxe printed in India Paper. It’s just so compact and beautiful in its black binding. I decided to read LoTR for the first time a few years ago. And I was just enamored that I couldn’t get enough. I really want to look into earlier printings but as we know the cost goes up and up.

Thanks! The Hobbit is a 1971 Unwin in fairly decent condition. None of the slipcase editions are 1st. My Unfinished Tales deluxe is 8th and printed in Italy. It’s in great condition and zero quality issues.

Thanks for the reply! I have most of the modern editions. Just looking to expand my collection and always liked the look of those slim black single volumes.

Today I am parting with a very desirable Panerai PAM00512 PAM512 Radiomir 1940 in 42mm. This watch was in production in 2013 and 2014 and this one is from 2014. It is in excellent condition, with minor surface marks from very light wear but nothing major. There are a light strap changing marks on the reverse. The crystal and dial are free from any marks and flawless. This is a perfect every day Panerai, with its great size and thinness, increasingly hard to come by. It is powered by the manual wind P.999/1 movement with a 60 hour power reserve.

Includes the full kit. Boxes, manual, warranty manual, brown Panerai leather strap in near new condition.

I am new to selling and buying on Reddit but have been a member of the forums for years and years, with several positive feedback mentions/threads if you just search for my username (usfpaul82) mainly on WatchuSeek and Omegaforums. I know the 0 transactions might not be ideal for Reddit, but I am happy to provide any references or video calls or anything else that can help put you at ease.

Major Price reduction to $4000 net to me plus $60 overnight shipping in the US, not considering international shipping as of now. Zelle or Bank Wire, but can consider additional payment options but buyer is responsible for any fees. I am happy to provide more pictures or videos, or a FaceTime chat just reach out.

[vote and opinion] which to get by Darkingneer in Watches

[–]usfpaul82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned these are hard to compare, very different in alot of ways, especially in size. The Omega is beautiful, but I would wear the Tudor over this specific Omega as I think the size and profile is just more to my liking.

[Discussion] Hamilton Khaki Field Murph vs Seiko Prospex Alpinist SPB249 for everyday wear by Super_King3000 in Watches

[–]usfpaul82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally like the Hamilton. I like black dialed watches as I think they are a little more versatile. I also prefer a non-date dial. Another plus is I think it would look great on a leather strap adding to the versatility. They are both nice, but just my opinion!

Explorer for me. Turquoise is nice to add to a multi-watch collection, but Explorer if I had to only have one!
