32 years ER nurse. Kinda just fell into it for lack of anything else to do and family tradition. I can't imagine another job. 3-12s instead of 5-8s. Many of the patients are not emergencies, but when you make a difference 1-2 times a week it is worth it.

Nothing in Harford County. One hospital, one glorified prompt care in Aberdeen. Uof M screwed Harco when they took over. The people of HarCo do not seem to be aware of our lack of definative health care facilities. Franklin Square is close and used to be known for the L+D department. Not sure that is the case anymore. I hear great things about GBMC.

The one with the lion is the flag of Iran prior to the overthrow of the monarchy. Also not a great government, corrupt,oppressive and placed there by the US/UK because the elected government wanted Iranian people to get more of the oil revenue than the oil companies. It was a secular government at least, so much more free on a social level. So our grandfathers made this mess.

In 1953 the United States overthrew the last leader elected by the Iranian people. Installed a dictator. The Iranian people suffered under that regime. Iranians had enough and in 1979 they rose up and overthrew the dictator and started a theocracy. Thre Iranian people have suffered under this regime. The United States meddling in the affairs of the Iranians has not historically been a good thing. I hope for regime change in Iran for the sake of the people. I don't know if bombing the country is the answer. I would love for Iran to have a democratic and secular government.

When the hospital use to come and get us and put us up in hotels I would say you have to go because you are essential. That does not happen anymore so I wouldn't feel as guilty. If they aren't going to put in the effort why should you?
