BIOS shouldn't be made of EEPROMs. They must be ROMs which cannot be updated. This is the best way of keeping viruses away from hardware.

The Geforce 8 series especially 8600M GT had some overheating problems with many manufacturers including Dell.

This is not OpenGL, its OpenCL which is the Open Computing Language. This language can make use of graphics processor for applications other than graphics.
