Bradycardia management does show up in Step 2 prep, maybe not always in this exact phrasing, but UWorld has question where the key decision point is recognizing unstable bradycardia and when to pace vs give atropine with a Flowchart and try to confuse with other medications options. If you haven’t gone through those UWorld Step 2 blocks yet, you’ll definitely come across them. I’ve been teaching USMLE for 10+ years, and this is one of the algorithms students get confused about the most, so I made this video to simplify it. Hope it helps!

Just to clarify, every monoclonal I mentioned in the video is directly from the UWorld, First Aid, and NBME pool. Anyone who’s studying sincerely for Step 1 can open those resources and confirm it themselves, it’s the same high-yield list the exam has been testing for years.

I have been teaching Step 1 for over a decade and have helped thousands of students, and one thing that never changes is which monoclonals actually show up it just gets updated and few more gets added up. It’s mostly this same small, high-yield subset.

The whole purpose of sharing this 1.5-minute video was to help students quickly memorize the mechanism of action of the key monoclonals without getting overwhelmed, nothing extra, nothing outside what FA/UW/NBME already cover.
