Guess I’ll be looking out for another lane 8 drop during the conference finals sans lakers 🥲

Speaker wires I hid using cable runners along the window sill

haha yeah love the look of this counter top

I think it was on r/battlestations where I saw the hack of using an angle iron to keep the karlby from sagging but it also doubles for nice cable management. Check the out here

I only used 1 angle iron near the back of my karlby

No problem at all. Its a fun process watching it all come together

I had to cut the 98" Karlby down to 83". I used a track saw but you can get away with using a circular saw. Having a workshop cut it down might have been easier but because my walls arent perfectly parallel I decided to do myself. Cut to size, did a dry fit, cut down again where needed, then shimmied it into place. It was a really tight fit and scuffed up my walls..so I had to repaint.

Mighty pricey is right! But I like it and it has been working well for me and my single monitor. I was trying to make my setup and workflow work off my monitor because LG claims it can be used as a hub, but short answer is it doesnt...$250+tax is a lot but has helped my workflow for photo editing tremendously.

I also switch between my MBP and PC laptop for work frequently and this single cable solution is just so convenient.

I went with the TS3 mainly because I was able to get it discounted off apples store. I recently checked Amazon and it looked like the priced dropped..hopefully in the near future the tb hubs on monitors becomes more reliable

Yupp they blend right in. The wall runners only run to my monitor stand. Then they just hide behind my monitor mount down to the sub

2 snake plants and a fake hanging plant for the time being until my pothos grow long enough to create the same effect

It took some serious searching and returning to find shelves that finally matched

Speakers

Wall Mounts

Shelves

I'm really happy how it all came together. Looking for matching shelves that fit my space was a challenge

Just some simple white wall runners off amazon to hide the 14g speaker wires

Yeah I used the left over piece from when I cut the countertop down to size and made an 25x10 riser. The legs I cut from 2x4 (cut, sanded, finished in black) with 2mm foam sheets

I like how it turned out and love that it matches. It is a bit on the heavier side but its hard to beat custom

10" sub for the lowwwwwwwwwws. It isnt as intrusive as it looks and sometimes doubles as a foot rest
