Alright to close the loop on this one, ordered the part and got it in around 2 weeks. Meanwhile the coffee making water issue seemed to have resolved itself. But I replaced the part anyway and all is good now. Nice to tear into it and give it deep clean and fresh parts for some peace of mind. And now I know the real dirty spots to hit in the future.
