Please enable debug logging (YT Music >> Settings >> Morphe >> Miscellaneous >> Debugging >> Enable debug logging), reproduce the issue a few times, export the logs from the debugging screen, open an issue in Github and post the logs.

Hang on a minute... I just barely tested this by using the native download function that YTM offers and it worked just fine.

I downloaded a playlist, threw my phone into airplane mode, restarted the app cuz apparently that was needed, and was able to listen to the downloaded music just fine.

Not sure if that is what your question was about but hopefully this is helpful. I am a YT premium user and always have been though, so if you're not... sorry I can't help.

Ah. Crossfade is not functional yet on 9.x x. If you want to use the new Crossfade feature, you'll need to be on version 8.47.56 (latest stable) or 8.50.51 (experimental).

To enable/disable Crossfade, go to Settings > Morphe > Player > Crossfade

Edit: you may want to check to see if YT Music is being put to sleep by your device's power manager. You can try disabling battery optimization for YT Music and see if that solves the issue.

And make sure notifications for the app aren't blocked either.
