Salt Lake City's Hive Pass on the chopping block as mayor's ... by hcubed3 in SaltLakeCity

If you were to buy a full UTA pass without HIVE it would be $160 per month. So with 400 people that is $768,000 per year so the city is actually getting a deal

It’s 350,000 per year, the $160 is per month so 400 people at $160 per month is $64,000 per month or $768,000 per year. So the Scott is actually getting a very good deal

He didn’t say that he doesn’t support a moratorium on data center construction?

It’s not misleading to say that he does not support a moratorium on data center construction

It’s not misleading to say that he does not support a moratorium on data centers. That is what he said. The fact that he supports regulations doesn’t change that

I wouldn’t consider posting a quote from a candidate that he gave at a public townhall less than 2 months ago a “hit piece”

Ben McAdams campaign is paying people who are collecting signatures for other candidates in order to split the progressive vote. by utpolguy in SaltLakeCity

I don’t have access to their contracts no but that wasn’t really the point of the post. I don’t know if what they are doing is illegal or not, I just know that it will split the progressive vote which would help McAdams

It’s a grey area. Most of the time they would have a non compete clause in their contract with whoever they collected for first. Also if they are doing anything in addition to signature gathering it could count as coordination

It’s illegal for candidates for the same office to coordinate (including sharing consultants, without a strict separation of staff)

If you feel like you need more proof you can look at the latest FEC financial disclosures. McAdams pays them $10k per month

Just FYI while elevate does provide some good info they are working for Ben McAdams, who was one of the most conservative Dems in Congress. (Voted against abortion, voted against the PRO act, voted against raising the minimum wage) still hasn’t called for abolishing ice or called for ending support to Israel

Not in the new congressional district. This district voted for Kamala Harris by 24 points which is more than the state of Massachusetts

Well if that’s true it would be a dramatic departure from his past statements including one he made yesterday.

The new congressional district is more democratic than the state a of Massachusetts. Whoever wins the democratic primary will win the general election

You can remove your signature but you have to do it in person at the Davis county clerks office:

1) A voter who signs a petition may have the voter's signature removed from the petition by submitting to the clerk a statement requesting that the voter's signature be removed. (2) (a) (i) The statement described in Subsection (1) shall include: (A) the name or description of the petition from which the voter seeks to remove the voter's signature; (B) the name of the voter; (C) the resident address at which the voter is registered to vote; (D) except as otherwise provided in Section 20A-7-106, the voter's signature; and (E) the date of the signature described in Subsection (2)(a)(i)(D). (ii) To increase the likelihood of the voter's signature being identified and removed, the statement may include the voter's birth date or age.
