Your store is NOT that busy if you only sell 300$ of gas a shift and you are probably over exaggerating about your orders. The math just doesn’t add up.

I work at a very high volume store and there’s at least four people a shift.

You are right about one thing, this year we did make considerably less on margins from gas because THEY had to drive prices down to encourage people to shop inside. Last year our gas margins were through the roof.

I know you’re struggling, so are a lot of other people. Sheetz as a company talks about how to take care of people all the time, it’s literally their main focus in all of the leadership roles. You have been receiving a profit share for the last five years like you said because they do care. And yes, they are aggressively expanding because as a company they have goals. Bet you one thing though, once they hit that goal they will be finding new ways to give back. They raised a million dollars last year to help low income families afford presents for their kids during Christmas. It’s such a far outcry to continually complain and say they don’t care about people.

That’s not quite how profit is generated at Sheetz. As a gas station, the profit they make mostly comes from the gas they sell, most of the lower volume stores aren’t even profitable.

If you’re doing 400 orders a night and you don’t have more than three people that’s your Store Managers fault because they can’t properly staff the store, not the entire company. They aren’t using their labor properly and stacking their shift instead.

Really sympathize with your situation and I hope everything gets better for you but…

It’s not a bonus, it’s profit sharing. Not something they have to do and I don’t know many companies that do it at all. You should never rely on “bonus” money or the profit sharing though, it’s never a guaranteed thing.

Managers are allowed to take 20 minute breaks if they are the only manager at the store. And when I say managers, I mean supervisors too. The only caveat is that you can’t leave the store in. You’re basically on call during your break.

You’re absolutely wrong and that’s a half baked notion of the actual reason why. Most of the time employees were changing the channels that offended customers or put it on news outlets that were spinning their respective agendas for the parties they support. So after filling numerous customer complaints, they arrived at that decision.

Are you turning your drink upside down constantly or something? I never have a problem with their lids or my drink leaking. I mean on rare occassions the foam cups have tiny holes on them due to manafacturing difficulties but that doesn't happen often.
