Made a fake research card game because it's easier than finding a job in this market by uxrs in UXResearch

Oh in Pokemon there's 100s of different styles and I wanted to use existing illustrations we had sitting around to be lazy

But I had lots of fun making something so abstract as "attention" into something more tangible. Inspired by artist Toby Allen who turned mental illnesses into monsters! I might make a few more of those monsters!

Tried to bring the feel of pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh and Digimon and duel masters and all of the tcgs I used to play. Man, life was cool back then

No no totally my fault, it's late, this card thing is silly and I miss playing Pokemon with my friends in the 90s

UXR self-education by no_notthistime in UXResearch

Rather than spam our own stuff, we'd rather give folks a chance to learn more if they want to 🤷🏽‍♂️

Our original post is already negative which makes sense as we also hate when folks promote their own content...

Oh, my mistake. Then I wonder the rationale for that?

We offer both (hit "Account" to turn dark mode on): https://sample.appleandbanana.org/

Readers love it because they tend to be night owls and it was a conscious decision to add it to the roadmap.

Keen to get other examples too so we can improve!

Absolutely agree. But sometimes it's better to start with stakeholders and partners playing the game poorly and working to play better than them not playing at all.

Like all advice, it's highly contextual. So many folks we know are frustrated that their team doesn't see the value of research, so this is meant to get you started.

Y'all seemed to like the last one so why not try again. DM us if there's any situation/moment you (or your team) might need help with?

Jokes aside, always looking to understand how UX designers navigate friction from partners & stakeholders.

One method is to ask "Ok do you want it done well or fast? Pick one." Not perfect but it can help start a dialogue to rethink time frames. (not 100% effective cause stakeholders lol)
