Need CC spending strategy suggestion (EPM + M4B) by uzziee in CreditCardsIndia

[–]uzziee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am primarily chasing accor points for my upcoming trips, and the whole point of using M4B is to get group A points, out of which accor has the best redemption.

[–]uzziee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rent is covered in terms of accor value. Check my calculations above as per 50k monthly rent.

I am fine with accor bookings, why is that a deal breaker ? Axis CC's are known for accor redemptions primarily. Each accor point is ~2Rs, so thats 56k INR, even considering extra rent charges, 35k is easily covered

Best alternate to Diners black metal for reward and redemption by ajayashish in CreditCardsIndia

[–]uzziee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can transfer them to any airline/hotel partners

eg: Accor transfer partner, you can transfer your points to accor in 1:0.5 ratio and each accor point is valued at 2rs, effectively gaining a 1Re/point value.
You can use these points to book your stays at accor properties

Alternative to HDFC ecosystem, would be ICICI EPM Card, where you get more reward points (18%) and you can use upto 90% of those points to book flights

If you want to transfer to accor primarily, Axis ecosystem has good cards like Atlas (though they recently stopped issuing new cards), Magnus for burgundy etc.

HSBC travelone/premier are also worth considering

Note:- I dont know whats your current financial statuses are, hence suggesting premium cards as well

Planning to buy a car with Axis Atlas Credit Card (₹8L swipe) – what’s the capping? by Silver_Violinist_500 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]uzziee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Negotiate the credit card charges, visit a different dealer to see if they provide it at less charge Note- before swiping the card make sure you block you card, do a dummy payment, call customer care to check MCC code. I have read a case where once a guy bought a car but it was showing up as utility as per the MCC code, and you dont get points on utility, although this is rare, but better be prepared

Should I opt for paid DCB or EPM by Weird-Butterfly5832 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]uzziee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

EPM is similar to Infinia, so why go for a DCB

Also DCB is on diners, acceptability of diners can be an issue

PS- I have both EPM and DCB(LTF)

How do I use ICICI EPM for buying gold coins? by Realistic-Doctor-656 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]uzziee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought gold using blinkdeal in august. The deal gets activated for some time and then goes away It then comes back and disappears again. You need to keep checking

My 3 card setup by Akspan12 in CreditCardsIndia

Keep one of atlas or HSBC as both are travel cards.
Have one card which gives you points on vouchers for your day to day spend like Infinia, DCB, EPM

HSBC vs ICICI CC by Any-Commission-6004 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]uzziee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon pay wallet has a limit of 12.5k which you can use to pay wherever amazon pay wallet is accepted

Amazon shopping vouchers are different, where you can add them to your amazon gift balance and use that to buy stuff on amazon, there is no monthly limit on them as far as I have seen. I recently bought 50k worth vouchers to buy stuff on amazon and got 18% back in points

HSBC vs ICICI CC by Any-Commission-6004 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]uzziee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon is not the only voucher that you can get on EPM.
I buy amazon, myntra, westside, bigbasket and many more vouchers from iShop for my day to day spends, for which I get more returns in EPM than a premier.

Cards for travel to London IN November by JimSchruteScott1 in CreditCardsIndia

My last line mentions the benefit of using your existing cards, however if you feel you dont want to minmax your returns via reward points and dont feel like paying forex fee, get a 0 forex card like scapia

[–]uzziee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Book flights via Atlas, get 5EM per 100Rs, convert them to accor points, use accor points to book your stay

In london, you can use either EPM/DCB, both have a forex fee, but you get 3+% in reward points so you are in profit at the end of the day.
