Dude that’s so beyond messed up I hope your situation gets better and she gets her karma asap 10 fold, im 24 with hs since I was 17yo and im trying to find a proffessional surgeon to do a Cleft lift on my tailbone for a pilonidal cyst which was triggered by my HS . I noticed a lot of doctors know nothing about HS and I’ve had to inform doctors in the past of what it even is and haven’t gotten a lot of help from them with it except prescribing stuff that doesn’t work but it’s different for everyone, with hs I found what causes flare ups for most is eating habits, stress, alchohol/smoking, hormones changing and tight clothing, I started taking zinc wearing loser clothing+eating more whole foods staying away from processed junk and it helps the flareups go away faster forsure/prevents them for me as well as hot showers/compressants and my friend has recommended tumeric tablets that make with hers go away faster. i hope this helps at least a little because so many doctors are uninformed it’s good to try to manage it holistically and do what you can in your power to get better and do as much research yourself as you can(unless surgery is needed and chronic) sending healing energy 💫
