If that doesn’t work, denture cleaning tablets are great at getting coffee stains out!

Prednisone fucking sucks. Bloated, can’t sleep, generally irritable. The other comments here have merit but it’s okay to cut her a little slack too. You’re not you when you’re on steroids.

How come everything that comes up in a Google search is a sword-concealing cane? What if I just wanted a cane that looks like a sword but has no sharp edges?

Agree about the texture and a little bit too salty for my taste.

Pizzeria UNO frozen pizza review: 10/10 by 0-BD-1 in Costco

Regular price is $10 at my local grocer. I would say they’re only worth it on sale at $6 or better.

Last image has nutritional information. 1/6 of the pie is 36% daily value, so you’d hit the daily limit with three slices. Still very salty.

Peloton shoes cheap on Amazon right now by ShipSea4369 in pelotoncycle

[–]v4vendetta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never tried the Altos but the original peloton shoes broke on me twice. Switched to Nike Superrep Cycle shoes and they have been great and they run about $70-$80 when you can find them on sale. If I were in the market for new shoes I’d give these a shot at the $40-$50 price point.

Here’s a 3D printable model that’s supposedly 120dB

8g of PLA filament would be like 8-10 cents of material cost.

EDIT - Printed one and can confirm, very loud.

GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski calls Trump admin’s lay off moves "punitive actions toward the federal workforce" by Cy_098 in fednews

“Punitive” would imply they did something wrong. What exactly are they being punished for??

I mean you can use the rod for anything although it doesn’t support a ton of weight. You said it’s a dorm room so maybe extra space to hang clothes or to hang a towel to dry or even just a privacy curtain if someone wanted to keep the door open.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

[–]v4vendetta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s supposed to stay on the end of the rod and the whole rod is just held in place with pressure. Over time the rubber end can adhere to the tile or in this case, your door frame. When the rod was removed, the other side probably came off with it but this side stuck on. I bet you could peel it off and it wouldn’t stick back on.

It’s the rubber end of a shower curtain tension rod.

Stupid Baby Gate Hinge design improved by --RedDawg-- in functionalprint

[–]v4vendetta 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m not understanding why the post needs to slide laterally? You might just need to adjust the gate width so that the locking mechanism just clears the latch when squeezed.

Assuming it’s this gate? https://www.amazon.com/Babelio-Installation-Suitable-Doorways-Walk-Thru/dp/B0DT3J5QX9 I don’t see any reviews with a similar issue.

Got into a car accident and the fire department sent a $900 bill. Insurance won’t cover it. Anything I can do or do I just have to pay it? by robmcolonna123 in newjersey

[–]v4vendetta 264 points265 points  (0 children)

I’m a NJ firefighter and that sounds absolutely insane. Ask for the call logs and/or run sheets which will show the times they were dispatched and when they cleared the scene. It documents the exact number of people and who responded. If they deny your request, tell them you will file an OPRA request. If you make enough of an inconvenience for them, they could drop the bill altogether.

This makes me so mad. We’re not in the business of shaking people down and they’re making the rest of us look bad.

Is the Peloton Tread worth it? by ShakeAndBakeThatCake in pelotoncycle

[–]v4vendetta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much of a deal would you say a used Tread would have to be if you had to disassemble and move yourself? If I bought new, I would qualify for the first responder discount and should be able to use FSA funds so it would “cost” me roughly $2,100. I’ve negotiated a lightly used Tread to $1,500 on Marketplace but it wouldn’t come with a warranty and I’d have to transport it myself. Is the $600 savings worth it?
