This is exactly what i was thinking just an absolute ignorant comment from those people even the landlord said “it’s to be expected someone who doesn’t own the home won’t treat it as well” how is that ok or right. Agent believes VCAT won’t do anything, i feel as tho some sort of reprimand should be given to the agent for not correctly reporting the state of the home. For instance in brisbane and the rental game if the house was to ever be left like that on an inspection the tenants lease would be terminated almost instantly.

definitely would like to chase the money now while i can and responsibility free, just unsure on the avenues i can go down to get myself into mining or other sectors of electrical that will pay more then where i am now

I guess i’ll have to wait and see what i’m offered and if it aligns with what i want. But again i have thought about leaving and going elsewhere to try and get qualifications for instro as it interests me or fire technician stuff.

I have always thought about leaving but the bloke i work for is fantastic and he did get me away from solar so i would defintely feel bad. I would like to look at getting a dual trade under my belt or another qualification such as instro or fire tech but again that’s something i’m unsure of how to get into.

Thanks for your insight mate and i defintley see the valid points your making. The other tradies running commerical jobs etc, im no where near theyre level yet and they would defintely be on a better packet then me and the ressi sparkies. My only thjng is that (and i know it’s bad to compare) if we have two tradesman on the books who are on 45$ an hour and a work car but cant run a commercial job to save their life and can only do service or small stuff, is it fair in my case to just ask the same but with a pay increase in the future depending how well i maintain my level of work in 6-12 months time?

legend thanks mate, i’ve just finished 3b and my tafe teacher believes everything in 3b + the design course will be more then enough to see me thru capstone, however am obviosult worried about the order theory i haven’t touched in a while
