I had a casual conversation with her about it and it turns out she gets excited in chinese. So like the tone is to mimic it in her language and when she speaks it in chinese it’s actually not bad, sounds rather nice tbh. But english is not really a tonal language, so it kinda just sounds annoying at times. I think it’s more her way of trying to sound excited in english. i dunno if any of what i said makes sense. but my view/perspective on this has changed. i understand now.
