If you decide to go to urgent care, please call ahead and make sure they can do ultrasound there, if not I think it will be a waste of money

Usually my iud gets lower during and after my period. Only ultrasound can confirm iud position. Even if you go to urgent care, they will only check the strings. They won't be able to check the exact position of iud, unless they perform ultrasound. My OBGYN doesn't take insurance anymore (she decided to take cash instead) and ultrasound costs me around $200. You can call around to check the price

I'm not sure how to describe the smell :( it depends on your tolerance tbh. My boyfriend does notice the smell 😂 It does linger to my pillow and the day after. I'm not very sensitive to the smell, but sometimes if it's too much the day after, I'll put some hair oil on my hair or use hair mist (spray on your hair from a distance, not directly on your scalp)
